arsenal draws again. not seeing a lot of hope for making the champions league this year. this makes me quite unhappy.

just got in…tired and sleepy…slightly annoyed by the drunk kid that was 2 rows infront of me.
it always amazes me what people will choose on a jukebox. especially at a generic airport TGI Fridays.

i swear to god, every girl and woman on this flight to dallas has bleached blonde hair. it’s like flying with a really grody tanning salon

just about ready to finish up this training. no one here seems super confident that they can do the job if needed…but we’re all willing to give it a shot.

after driving around bricktown for about an hour, opted instead to eat japanese closer to the hotel.

apparently in OKC, deep fried twinkies have made the jump from “fair food” to “dessert menu”.
Oklahoma is like the Q-shack, except every side comes with a side of meat. I think they even put bacon in the sodas here.
first day of training is over. working on some trivia now. a trip to walmart may be soon…though maybe i’ll just hit a bar instead
much like the first day of school, i’m the first one in my class. i think i may have even surprised the instructor a bit. clearly mangement employees aren’t looked upon terribly kindly. looking over the training materials, it looks like i get to work with some pretty cool gadgets. never mind that i get to wear a sweet hardhat and safety glasses.

only 26 hours later…i am actually here.
and no real surprises…i’m delayed again. i knew o’hare was a mistake…why didn’t i trust the gut?

i am not a doctor, but i stayed in holiday inn last night. my shitty record with o’hare continues
worst reason ever to have a delayed flight: lavatories are filled to capacity. i would seriously invest in a stadium pal at this time.

apparently, i have just been granted another 2 hours before departure. have I mentioned how much i hate o’hare?
i have just been given a bit of road warrior knowledge: apparently, when at an airport bar, you should always ask, “hey, is there some sort of beer and a shot special?”. This may result in a 10 dollar beer + glenfidditch deal… your mileage may vary.
flying out of the new terminal at RDU…and no surprise but my flight to ORD is delayed.
and another 0-0 draw today makes for the third straight game arsenal hasn’t scored. BUGGER!
there’s a little magic in the q-shack macaroni and cheese.
i think my wicked talents on the keys have been surpassed…and at a much earlier age than ever expected.
in researching places to go and things to do in OKC, came across a hooter’s knock off called “emerson biggins”
so i’ve pretty much packed for the trip to OKC. i also have a bunch of work pants and shirts now. if I had a yard or a job where these things would be used again, it would make the expense a bit more justifiable. as it stands, i’ll probably never wear most of it again.
brendan sent along this sweet little footballer video. is it wrong to use the term “ball handling” here?
